Liquid Stainless Steel

LIQUID STAINLESS STEEL is the world's first stainless steel coating you can roll and brush over any colored refrigerator, stove or dishwasher. It's made with 100 percent stainless steel that undergoes a micrometal process that combines particles of stainless with a hybrid polymer so the metal will flow. The resulting liquid is a water-based, automotive-grade coating that is as durable as a car finish, will not fingerprint and is as safe and easy to use as latex paint. Thomas' Liquid Stainless Steel[TM] can be used to transform kitchen appliances, cabinet hardware, wood cabinets, chrome faucets and light fixtures.

Q. Is it really stainless steel?

A. Liquid Stainless SteelTM is made with 101% stainless steel.   We do not use any colorants - what you see is stainless steel.

Q. How is it made?

A.   It is a new micrometal technology which combines microscopic particles of stainless steel with a hybrid polymer that allows the stainless steel to flow.

Q. How does it look?

A. It looks like stainless steel because it is stainless steel!   A brushed satin stainless steel finish is ideally suited for kitchens because its satin texture prevents fingerprints.   You will see the finish brighten as it dries.

Q. How durable is it?

A. Liquid Stainless SteelTM is an automotive grade finish, so it has the durability of your car's finish.

Q. How do I care for it?

A.   Again, just like your car: use mild soap, water and a soft cloth.

Q. Will my refrigerator magnets still stick?

A. Yes, your refrigerator magnets will still stick to your refrigerator with Liquid Stainless SteelTM. Thomas' Liquid StainlessTM is created with a cold process which does not destroy the magnetivity of the steel. Wait 14 days after your final coat before putting your magnets back on.

 Q. Can it be used on other surfaces?

A. Yes, Liquid Stainless SteelTM can be used on brass, chrome, wood, metal and plastics.
