Vinco Antifouling Paint

Pacific Sailor Vinco Antifouling paint is a high quality copper based antifouling coating. It may be used directly on wood or fibreglass hulls to reduce marine fouling.it may also be used on metal hulls id used in conjunction with an anticorrosive coating such as Swiftsure Silver Anticorrosive.
 
Preparation:
Wooden Hulls: Sand smooth and make sure all seams are properly caulked.All exposed metal should be coated with one coat of Swiftsure Anticorrosive and allowed to dry. Apply a coat of antifouling thinned to 10- 15% with reducer and allow to dry for 6 hours.Apply 2 more coats at full strength allowing 4 hours between coats.
 
Fiberglass Hulls: Sand to remove traces of wax or parting agents.make sure all glossy areas are sanded. Apply the antifoulant directly to the surface.If a smoother finish is required apply a primer coat of FRP primer before the antifoulant.
 
Mixing: Stir thoroughly from the bottom of the can.
Application: May be applied with brush or roller, two coats recommended.
Dry Time: Four hours between coats and two hours minimum before re-launch.
