Power Bond
Powerbond Epoxy is a strong, flexible,
impact resistant, 100% solids, non-shrinking epoxy/ polysulphide rubber bonding
agent. It is a unique structural adhesive for bonding wet cement to cured
concrete, steel or other bondable substrates. Powerbond is a gel, suitable for
overhead and vertical bonding and imbedment. Specifically formulated with
optimum compressive and tensile properties for use under severe conditions of
heavy shock and vibration.
Powerbond has excellent resistance to salt
and fresh water, salt spray, weathering, most acids, alkalis, solvents, oils
and fuels. Powerbond is mixed at a simple 1:1 mix ratio with color indicators to
ensure a thorough mix. It will adhere to concrete, steel, stone, brick,
ceramic, FRP and wood. Powerbond will not break down under rolling loads.
Powerbond offers dependable bonding and curing when applied to damp cold steel
under humid conditions
Powerbond
is the best epoxy for bonding:
Wet
cement to concrete -
Adding to foundations or bonding thin cement
overlays or repairs to concrete.
Concrete
to concrete -
Repairing cracks, horizontal or vertical, in
slabs, pools, tanks or ponds, or assembling intricate pre-cast concrete sections.
Steel
to concrete -
Imbedding reinforcing bars vertical or
horizontal into drilled concrete.
Steel
to FRP -
Steel pipe fittings to fibreglass septic
tanks or fiberglass pipe lines.
Ferro
Cement Boats -
Construction or repair. Patching severe
damage or attaching interior wood or metal components.
Heavy
Traffic Transition Strips -
Metal expansion joints to
concrete for bridges or tiles to concrete floors specified in government
buildings.
Securing
Aggregate -
Bonding to steel or concrete to prevent
slippage of asphalt or Carborundum on steel decks and stairs. Often used for
high wear safety applications.
Bonding
Steel or Cement to Rock -
Installing loading ramps and
walkways on rocky shores.
Bonding
to Asphalt -
Reflector buttons for highways, bus lanes,
parking lots, etc. Areas that are suitable for construction or repair with
Powerbond include bridges, dams, pipelines, loading docks, piers, rock
footings, mines, manholes, sewer or septic tanks, buildings, spillways, pulp
mills, boats, ramps, stairs and floors.
